Frontiers in Mathematical and Computational Research (FMCR) is dedicated to maintaining the highest academic standards through a rigorous peer-review process. Our peer review policy is designed to ensure that all submitted manuscripts are evaluated fairly, thoroughly, and with integrity.

Initial Submission and Screening:

  • Submission Check: Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editorial office to ensure it adheres to FMCR's formatting and ethical guidelines.

  • Plagiarism Check: The manuscript is subjected to plagiarism detection software to ensure originality and avoid duplicate publication.

Editorial Assessment:

  • Editor Evaluation: An assigned editor evaluates the manuscript to assess its relevance to FMCR's scope, scientific rigor, and overall quality.

  • Decision to Review: Based on this initial evaluation, the editor decides whether the manuscript should proceed to peer review. Manuscripts that do not meet FMCR's scope or quality standards may be rejected at this stage.

Peer Review Process:

  • Reviewer Selection: The editor selects at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject matter. Reviewers are chosen for their impartiality, expertise, and experience.

  • Double-Blind Review: FMCR follows a double-blind review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. This promotes unbiased and objective evaluations.

  • Review Criteria: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on factors such as originality, clarity, methodology, significance of the findings, and relevance to the field of mathematical and computational sciences.

  • Reviewer Reports: Reviewers provide detailed feedback, including strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. They may recommend acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection.

Editorial Decision:

  • Review Synthesis: The editor synthesizes the feedback from the reviewers and makes a decision regarding the manuscript.

  • Decision Notification: Authors are informed of the decision and receive reviewers’ comments. If revisions are necessary, clear instructions for making improvements are provided.

Revision and Re-evaluation:

  • Revisions: Authors are given a set period to revise their manuscript based on the reviewers' feedback. The revised manuscript must be resubmitted within the allotted time.

  • Re-review: The revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers or to new reviewers for further assessment, if needed.

Final Decision and Publication:

  • Acceptance: Once the manuscript meets FMCR’s standards and all revisions have been addressed, it is accepted for publication.

  • Proofs: Authors receive the final proofs for review before publication. Any necessary corrections are made.

  • Publication: The final, corrected manuscript is published online and is made freely accessible to the global community.

Appeals:

  • Appeal Process: Authors who feel their manuscript was unfairly rejected can appeal to the editorial office. Appeals must be based on specific points of contention and will be reviewed by the editorial board for fairness.

Confidentiality:

  • Confidential Handling: All manuscripts and related reviewer reports are handled confidentially. Reviewers are required to maintain confidentiality regarding the content of the manuscripts they evaluate.

Ethical Considerations:

  • Ethical Compliance: Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and adhere to ethical guidelines during the review process.

  • Misconduct: Any suspected cases of academic misconduct, such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification of research, will be thoroughly investigated.
